Business DescriptionColleges and universities are under increasing pressure to offer athletic programs that enhance campus life for all students and provide college athletes with a safe and supportive system for education, mental and physical health, and growth. Unlike the largest, most prominent colleges and universities, smaller- market schools struggle to fund facilities and supportive services for college athletes. Team Dream Foundation was formed as a nonprofit, nonstock corporation to provide much-needed charitable support to these schools by offering: (1) housing on or near campus catering to the specific needs of college athletes, (2) financial support for campus athletic facilities, (3) Nutrition, and (4) Continuing education.
Team Dream was formed by Jorge Cordova, a former linebacker in the National Football League who attended college at the University of Nevada-Reno. Mr. Cordova retired from football in 2008 and successfully transitioned into the real-estate sector, focusing on multi-family housing projects. As a former college and professional athlete now in real estate development, Mr. Cordova recognizes the unique needs of colleges and universities and their college athletes for assistance with facilities and tailored programs and created Team Dream to fill that charitable void.
